Fresh Stitches: Review & Giveaway

Hey, ya’ll! I’m so excited to be collaborating with Stacey from Fresh Stitches to GIVE AWAY [CLOSED] a nice little selection of different sized safety eyes to two lucky winners! (See below for details.) But first, let’s talk a little bit about Stacey’s great website, Fresh Stitches, and the Ami Club

Fresh Stitches is really a wonderful website that’s beautifully laid out and I love how bright and cheery it all looks. Stacey has a fabulous selection of eyes available! (Check out her page here.) What I like most about her eye shop is that everything is so unique! You can buy eyes here that you can’t find (or that are extremely hard to find) anywhere else. In fact, when I made my extreme amigurumi sloth, without a second thought, I went right to Fresh Stitches because I knew she had 40mm eyes available.

Oh, and I just noticed she has winking eyes available here. how cute is that? I can only imagine how adorable that would look on an amigurumi! She also has heart shaped noses here, which you could use for SO many other things besides noses! Stacey also has a great selection of comic eyes and safety nose which I think are a wonderful alternative to embroidering a nose. And if you want to add a bit of sparkly personality to your crocheted critters, she has glitter eyes available here in different colors and sizes. She also sells adorable goodies to go along with your crochet, including cute tape measures and stitch markers!

You could definitely spend a while looking over all the fabulous goodies for sale!

But let’s not forget patterns! Stacey has a huge selection of crochet patterns, both wearable, and amigurumi. My personal favorite is this stinkin’ cute little robot here.

Stacey has also written several books, Crocheted Softies, Cuddly Crochet, and Modern Baby Crochet. Stacey as a person is so humble and sweet despite having such a successful business and being an amazing designer. So I’m very excited to be hosting this giveaway with her!

Okay, it’s almost time for the giveaway, but first, I must tell you about the Ami Club! Stacey has gotten together an amazing community of people by creating the Ami Club. On her website, Stacey describes it as an “amigurumi-focused crochet community built for learning, sharing crochet techniques, showing off your latest projects… and of course, having fun!” You can join the Ami Club here for only $6 a month. Joining gives you access to exclusive discounts like 10% off all eye purchases! And every month, Stacey designs a new pattern that all club members get for free. Here are a few of Stacey’s designs!

  2. I usually use 12 and 18mm eyes. I would love to get my hands on 40mm eyes, since I have never seen any that big in craft stores! It would be a fun challenge to make a huge plush with those eyes!

  3. I would be most excited for the 40 mm eyes, but I normally use 12 mm in amigurumi because they’re easiest to find and most versatile.

  10. I’d love the 18 mm. Just the right size for some cuddle-sized amigurumi! Although, I usually end up using 9 mm, I think 18 would be fabulous!
